This is one of the chill-sets that was part of the Winter Solstice chill-event at di.fm. I had never heard of this DJ before, and was pleasantly surprised by this journey and the pleasure it gave me.
Dj Fada is Andrea Mendes from São Paulo/SP, Brazil. She got into the electronic music-scene when she started going to festivals in 2003. She is part of a collective project called Cymatic Lab, and also affiliated with Portuguese label Ajnavision records. She explains her mixing as seeking to create "a sonic journey with deep
atmospheres and tribal rhythms with hypnotic sounds that elevate the
state of consciousness, the Harmonic lines she use in her sets open
doors to a world of dancing reflections and personal evolution".
