Schofield - Chill DJ Set @ Rainbow Serpent 2012

Time for me to share another chill DJ Set, this one recorded @ Rainbow Serpent festival, which took place outside Melbourne, Australia, end of January. The guy behind it is Ross Veenstra, a local from Melbourne. This 2 hour journey is beautifully crafted, and music from all sorts of chilled genres appear, such as pure ambient, psy-chill and more dubby, ethnic beats. The passages are cleverly done and Ross manages to keep it all together, eager to tell us his story in tones. Thanks a lot, mate. Listen, and float away!

According to Schofield he has been a lover of music since he first discovered that he had holes in the side of his head. He likes his music in many variations including dub, ambient, downtempo, electro-acoustic, psychedelic chill, wobbly breaks, experimental, electro-folk, modern classical, field recordings, and glitch. His inspiration comes from life: "the serenity of an empty field as the sun rises, the lure and promise of the open road, waves lapping lazily against a sandy beach, back yard bbq’s, urban landscapes", and all those things he attempts to weave into his sets.
