This track is part of the latest compilation on Vertigo Records titled Compos Mentis EP. It follows Terrafractyl´s recent style, filled with quirkyness, craziness, and melodic blasts. But at the same time it is quite psychedelic and energetic. I love it! And, seriously, how can you not love a track that incorporates the melody from the X-Men Cartoon :)
Terrafractyl is Felix Greenlees from Melbourne, Australia. As a kid he listened to a lot of Classical, Opera and Jazz he eventually went on to play
Bassoon in several professional orchestras around Australia. He has
also played piano for most of his life, and when he heard psychedelic music in the late 90's, he instantly
began to try his hand at putting some together himself. He has
perormed at all of the major festivals in Australia, including Rainbow
Serpent festival, Tribeadelic, Cairns Winter solstice, Dragon Dreaming
Festival, and also at festivals for Vertigo records in Russia and
Ukraine, and is soon leaving for a tour of India and South Africa. His
Debut album was released on Sundance Records in April last year and He
has released tracks on compilations for 5 labels around the world
including Sundance, Vertigo, Adapted, Regen, and Psynuematix records. His second Terrafractyl Album'Electronic Evolution' was
released on Vertigo Records, march 2012.
